Former Premier League Midfielder & Pro Project Promotions Athlete
Why I'm Doing This
I have been around football my whole life. It gave me purpose, structure, and direction. But nothing was ever guaranteed. I had to earn every step.
Now I want to give back. To the game, to the people who love it, and to those who feel like they have been left behind.
Hard work got me here. Belief kept me going. That is what I want to pass on.
Career Highlights
I broke through at Chelsea as a teenager. I was the youngest Premier League debutant at the time. I did not come from privilege. I came from West London. I knew how lucky I was to get that chance, and I never took it for granted.
These are the clubs I played for during my career:
Chelsea
Leeds United
Rotherham United
Millwall
St Johnstone
Bristol City
Chelsea was where it all started. It was where I learned what the top level really demands. Millwall gave me the platform to play week in, week out. Winning the Scottish Cup with St Johnstone was a proud moment. Not just for me, but for the fans who supported us every step of the way.
I made nearly four hundred club appearances. I played with heart. I played with purpose. Every single match mattered.
Life After Football
I did not walk away when I retired. I stepped straight into coaching.
I started at Chelsea’s academy, helping young players develop on and off the pitch. Later I took on the role of assistant manager at Derby County and then Chelsea, working alongside Frank Lampard.
Coaching is not about shouting from the sidelines. It is about listening, guiding, and helping players grow. It is about being honest and showing them what is possible.
I care about people. I care about progress. That is what drives me.
The Challenges I Have Faced
Being a young player at a big club can look glamorous. But the reality is different. The pressure. The judgment. The doubts.
I was written off more than once. But every time someone counted me out, I found another level. That hunger never left me.
The Support That Got Me Here
I had good people around me. People who told me to keep going when I felt like giving up. Friends. Mentors. Family.
That support made all the difference. Now I want to be that voice for someone else. Especially for the ones who feel like no one is listening.
Why I Am Supporting Pro Project Promotions
Because this is bigger than football. It is about identity. It is about pride. It is about community.
If we can help one person turn their life around, it is worth every second. If we can make someone believe again, that is powerful.
This project is something I believe in deeply.
