Our priority is to ensure every participant trains and competes in a safe, supportive, and professionally managed environment at all times.
Athlete Safety Policy
At Pro Project Promotions, the safety and wellbeing of all participants is our highest priority. We recognise the concerns surrounding head injuries and the risks associated with boxing, particularly within charity-led events. That is why we are committed to delivering a safe, supportive, and strictly regulated environment for everyone involved.
Our Approach to Athlete Safety
Medical Assessments
Every participant undergoes a full medical assessment prior to taking part in the event. This includes physical checks to ensure they are fit and healthy enough to train and compete safely.
Protective Equipment
All fighters are provided with high-quality protective gear, including headguards and 16oz gloves, designed to minimise the impact of punches and reduce the risk of injury.
Non-Competitive Bouts
This is not a professional or amateur competition. All bouts are structured as exhibition fights with no emphasis on knockouts. The focus is on technique, fitness, and participation, not aggressive competition.
Experienced Referees and Stoppage Rules
Each bout is overseen by a trained and experienced referee. Their priority is the safety of the fighters, and they are instructed to stop the fight immediately at any sign of discomfort or imbalance.
Elite-Level Coaching and Preparation
All participants train under the guidance of qualified, experienced boxing coaches. Training is focused on proper technique, fitness, and safety, ensuring that everyone is fully prepared and confident before entering the ring.
This event is about more than boxing. It is about raising awareness, improving wellbeing, and giving back to important causes – all within a safe and carefully managed environment. We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety, so every athlete can take part with confidence and peace of mind.
